PARIS--French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi SA (SAN.FR) Wednesday revised down its sales figure for the third quarter last year, ahead of the release of earnings for the third quarter of this year on Oct. 28

The company said its aggregate sales in the third quarter of last year were 9.46 billion euros ($10.30 billion), down from EUR9.59 billion reported previously. The company said it had reclassified EUR136 million in VaxServe product sales from other manufacturers.

The earnings to be released on Oct. 28 will include a $100 million charge due to a settlement in litigation with Cipro generic. The charge will be reported in the line "other current operating income/expenses," the company said.
