New Treatment for Fleas, Ticks in Dogs Gets European Approval -Sanofi

PARIS--A drug to treat fleas and ticks in dogs developed by the
animal-health unit of French pharmaceutical company Sanofi (SAN.FR)
has been approved by the European Commission, the company said
Tuesday.
NexGard is the first beef-flavored chew to treat fleas and
ticks. It has an efficacy of about a month, Sanofi said.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration made a similar decision
about six months ago.
