Germany's BASF (BAS.XE) and its Chinese joint venture partner
SINOPEC will build an isononanol plant in Maoming, China, serving
increased demand for next-generation plasticizers.
MAIN FACTS:
-Financial details of the new 50-50 joint venture company, BASF
MPCC Co Ltd., weren't disclosed.
-The new plant, which is expected to start in 2015, will bring
around 100 new jobs in Maoming.
-BASF and SINOPEC already operate a joint venture company,
BASF-YPC Co., in Nanjing, China
