By Corrie Driebusch Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- International companies trading in New York rose Wednesday, in line with the broader market, following reports suggesting that participation in the Greek debt-swap deal is creeping up. The Bank of New York index of ADRs rose 0.8% to 128.49 as reports swirled that support for Greece's debt swap is approaching levels necessary for the country to make the deal binding and complete it by Thursday's deadline. Financial stocks rebounded Wednesday on the news, with Societe Generale SA (SCGLY, GLE.FR) up 3.3% to $6.22, Credit Agricole SA (CRARY, ACA.FR) up 4.8% to $3.05, BNP Paribas SA (BNPQY, BNP.FR) rising 3.5% to $23.57 and Deutsche Bank AG (DB, DBK.XE) ending up 3% at $44.90. The European index climbed 0.8% to 117.43. Siemens Enterprise Communications wants an initial public offering in the United States by the end of 2012, Chief Executive Hamid Akhavan told Reuters on Tuesday. Akhavan said he believes the company's current owners--Siemens AG (SI, SIE.XE), which holds a 49% stake, and private equity firm Gores Group, which owns the rest--will seek to place only a minority stake with shareholders, Reuters said. Shares of Siemens AG added 1.6% to $96.50. The Asian index added 1.1% to 126.92. China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (SNP, 0386.HK), better known as Sinopec, and gas supplier ENN Energy Holdings Ltd. (2688.HK) said Wednesday that China's Ministry of Commerce is reviewing their joint application to buy China Gas Holdings Ltd. (0384.HK). Shares of Sinopec ended up 2% at $113.64. The Latin American index closed up 0.5% at 369.54, and the emerging markets index rose 0.8% to 305.35. The share swap that finalizes the merger between Chile's LAN Airlines SA (LFL, LAN.SN) and Brazil's TAM SA (TAM, TAMM4.BR) should be completed by early May, LAN's chief operations officer said Wednesday. The executive noted the share swap is independent of a pending Chilean supreme court ruling on mitigations measures for the merger.
