to announce a renewed sponsorship by Sun Life, which will see Sun
Life Global Investments become Canada's Official Sponsor at the World Rugby
Monaco Repechage. Sun Life has been an avid supporter of Rugby
Canada's National Senior Men's Sevens team over the past several
years, most recently at the 2016 Hong Kong Sevens.
The Monaco Repechage is a pivotal tournament for Rugby Canada's
Men's Sevens, as it represents the final chance to qualify for the
2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de
Janeiro. The highly anticipated tournament will be held
June 18 and 19 at the Stade Louis II
stadium in the Fontvieille district of Monaco, with the winner qualifying for Rio
2016. This year marks the return of rugby to the Olympics for the
first time since 1924, a testament to the growth of rugby
internationally.
As part of this sponsorship, the National Senior Men's Sevens
team will bear the Sun Life Global Investments logo on the front of
their jerseys for the duration of the Monaco Repechage.
