LONDON--Nigeria-focused Sirius Petroleum PLC(SRSP.LN) said Friday the Ororo Field located in the shallow waters off Nigeria's coast has a wider potential range of resources than previously estimated.

The U.K.-listed firm said a recent independent report produced by Rockflow Resources Ltd. showed the field had a mid to high liquid hydrocarbon volume range of between 7.65 million to 20.48 million stock tank barrels.

This compares to previous estimates calculated by Schlumberger Ltd. of between 10.08 million and 12.87 million stb. Stock tank barrels is a way to combine the calculation of barrels of oil and liquids in place.
