SYDNEY--Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corp. (FPH.NZ) said Tuesday it has filed patent infringement proceedings in a U.S. court against ResMed Inc. (RMD.AU)

The company alleges certain of ResMed's continuous positive airway pressure devices and accessories used in the treatment of patients with obstructive sleep apnea, and certain of ResMed's masks, infringe on Fisher & Paykel Healthcare patents.

ResMed wasn't immediately available to comment.
