Red Hat Announces Speakers and Agenda for 2015 Government Symposium

Event to focus on DevOps, mobility, cloud,
containers, and more
Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open
source solutions, today announced that officials from 13 government
agencies are scheduled to speak at the 2015 Red Hat Government
Symposium, including the National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST), Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts,
Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force,
General Services Administration (GSA), Pennsylvania State
University, and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). They
will join dozens of speakers with subject matter expertise and more
than 650 government and IT business professionals to discuss open
source software's role in addressing key government IT challenges
at the event on Nov. 10, 2015, in Arlington, Va.
The Red Hat Government Symposium is designed to address complex
challenges facing today's federal IT professionals, including
balancing the need for greater flexibility, agility, and
collaboration with secure and cost-effective solutions. Key topics
will include DevOps, mobility, cloud, virtualization, containers,
and more, with a focus on how government agencies at all levels are
deploying open source solutions and strategies to advance
innovation. The event will feature breakout sessions and technical
labs with specialized tracks for architects and developers,
operations, and management.
This year, Damon Edwards, principal at DTO Solutions, will
deliver the keynote address and discuss success with DevOps in
government IT. Co-founder of DTO Solutions, which provides DevOps
and automation solutions for large-scale and mission critical IT
operations, Edwards is an innovator of technology who has spent
more than 12 years working on both the technology and business ends
of web operations. He also provides consulting support to help
agencies realize the business impact DevOps can have, and how this
methodology can improve agility by increasing collaboration.
