CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of
Directors of Piedmont Natural Gas (NYSE: PNY) today approved an
increase in the Company's dividend for the 37th consecutive year.
At its regularly scheduled meeting, the Board declared a quarterly
dividend on Common Stock of 33 cents
per share, up 3.1% from the previous quarterly dividend of
32 cents per share. The increased
dividend is payable April 15, 2015,
to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 25, 2015. The Board of Directors also
re-elected Thomas E. Skains as
Chairman of the Board and Malcolm E.
Everett III as Independent Lead Director. Also, at today's
Annual Meeting of Shareholders, three members of the Board of
Directors were elected for a three-year term: E. James Burton, Jo Anne
Sanford, and David E. Shi.
