LONDON--Dutch delivery-services company TNT Express NV said Tuesday it has appointed Maarten Jan de Vries as chief financial officer and member of the executive board effective from July 1, replacing Bernard Bot.

Mr. Jan de Vries was previously chief executive of TP Vision, a joint venture between computer-monitor maker TPV Technology Ltd. and Philips NV. Before this, he held various roles at Philips including chief information officer, chief supply officer and divisional CFO.

TNT said earlier this month that Mr. Bot would step down. A spokesman for TNT said at the time that the supervisory board and Mr. Bot had mutually decided on his departure, adding that this was a "natural moment for change."

Mr. Bot joined TNT about nine years ago and was involved with the company as a consultant working for McKinsey & Co. beforehand.
