Procter & Gamble Brings Mobile Relief
to Residents Affected by Hurricane Matthew with P&G Product

WHO:
Families, individuals and first responders in need of
personal care items, cleaning products or laundry services in the
wake of Hurricane Matthew.
WHAT:
Tide Loads of Hope has been deployed to
support the relief and recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane
Matthew. The mobile laundry vehicle will begin laundry services on
October 13th, providing free full-service laundry to residents
affected by the recent flooding. Residents can bring clothes (up to
two loads per household) to be washed, dried and folded free of
charge for those in the directly affected areas. All washable
clothing types can be accepted with the exception of heavy bedding.
In addition, P&G will also be providing personal care kits
containing items such as Secret deodorant, Crest toothpaste and
Pantene shampoo as well as household cleaning products like Bounty,
Mr. Clean and Swiffer. Currently, the mobile unit and relief
support is located at the Walmart parking lot at 5070 Fayetteville

WHY:
Hurricane Matthew has devastated thousands of homes and businesses
and is currently responsible for taking the lives of 39 people in
the U.S. and 1,027 people globally in total in its wake. Many more
residents have been forced from their homes and are currently
without basic needs and resources. P&G has a history of giving
back to the communities where we live and work, and we wanted to
provide some everyday essentials to those who need it most. These
services are free and available to people affected by the disaster
and the volunteers that are helping to respond.
WHERE:
Starting on Thursday, October 13th, the Tide Loads of Hope
early-responder mobile laundry unit as well as P&G personal
care and cleaning kits will be located at: Walmart 5070
Fayetteville Rd. Lumberton, NC 28358
Updates on the mobile laundry unit’s
locations will be provided via Tide’s Facebook and Twitter channels
at https://www.facebook.com/Tide or @Tide.
WHEN:
Starting on Thursday, October 13th, 100 loads of laundry per day
(two loads per household) will be collected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. at Walmart (5070 Fayetteville Rd).
ABOUT TIDE LOADS OF HOPE:
In 2005, P&G launched Tide Loads of Hope to provide much needed
laundry services to families affected by Hurricane Katrina. Since
that time, Tide Loads of Hope has washed more than 60,000 loads of
laundry for more than 45,000 families impacted by disasters around
the world. The Tide Loads of Hope mobile laundry unit is outfitted
with 12 high-efficiency Whirlpool Duet washers and dryers (six of
each) with the capacity to do up to 100 loads of laundry a day.
