Procter & Gamble Co. said Friday that it is suing four former employees of its Gillette division for sharing trade secrets with competitor ShaveLogic.

P&G said the employees, who have been hired or retained by Dallas-based ShaveLogic, breached contracts with Gillette by giving ShaveLogic confidential information.

The suit, filed in a Boston court, is seeking damages and a jury trial.

P&G bought Gillette Co. in 2005, adding the shaving company to consumer-products brand such as Clairol and Pantene. P&G has been shedding brands in recent months as it seeks to become more nimble and speed up growth.
