Finnish employees of beleaguered phonemaker Nokia are due to gather Thursday morning for an all-staff meeting amid fears of another wave off job cuts at plants in Salo and Oulu as the company struggles to stabilize its fortunes, Finnish media reported Thursday. Government officials and union representatives have been advised of the meeting but there has been no information about its substance, national broadcaster Yle said. Nokia has implemented several rounds of job cuts as it struggles to regain its competitiveness against rivals Apple Inc. (AAPL) and Samsung Electronics Co. (SSNHY). The company's first-quarter results remained in the red as its new Windows-based smartphone, launched late last year, failed to gain significant traction.
