New Senior Director brings hands on experience working in financial institutions

Today, Navigant (NYSE:NCI) announces the addition of Tim O’Neal Lorah as Senior Director within Navigant’s Financial, Risk & Compliance segment. In his new role, O’Neal Lorah will advise financial institutions and other global corporations in addressing regulatory compliance matters related to anti-money laundering, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption and financial crime.

Tim’s deep industry experience enables him to provide pragmatic solutions to clients as they face complex compliance challenges,” said Ellen Zimiles, leader of the Financial Risk & Compliance Advisory segment. “Tim’s extensive in-house compliance career and his experience with regulators and examinations enables him to provide valuable first-hand insights and guidance to clients as they grapple with investigations, compliance, and other issues related to financial crime.”

With more than 18 years of experience in the financial crime compliance arena, Lorah specializes in anti-money laundering, economic sanctions, anti-boycott and corruption and financial crime compliance. He previously served as Managing Director and Global Head of Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime Compliance at both Morgan Stanley and Barclays. In these leadership roles, he led the strategic direction, oversight and coordination of the global financial crime program across all product and business lines. He also served as the senior point-of-contact with U.S. and non-U.S. regulatory agencies, law enforcement and external bodies worldwide on matters relating to anti-money laundering, economic sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption and financial crime compliance. Tim was also a member of the U.S. Delegation to the FATF/MONEYVAL Experts’ Meeting on Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Typologies in Monaco. He also served as a member of the U.S. Delegation to the U.S. – Dutch Pilot Project Joint Working Group on Terrorist Financing, Financial Crimes and the Implementation of Blocking Orders, hosted by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Tim is a former co-chair of SIFMA’s AML and Financial Crimes Committee and currently serves as a Director on the Boards of both the New York City Times Square Alliance and Bailey House.
