DOW JONES NEWSWIRES China Mengniu Dairy Co. (2319.HK) is considering a bid for Pfizer's infant nutrition business, the Financial Times newspaper reported Sunday on its website, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter. The people said Mengniu was talking to UBS AG (UBS) about a bid for the unit, the report said. People following the situation said other bidders expected to participate in the sales process are Danone SA (DANOY), Nestle SA (NSRGY), Mead Johnson Nutrition Co. (MJN) and possibly Heinz, the report said. Pfizer said no decisions had been made and it didn't expect to make further announcements until next year, and other companies declined to comment, the report said.
