Technip, Malaysia Marine JV Gets Contract From Petroliam Nasional

KUALA LUMPUR--Malaysia's state-energy company Petroliam Nasional
Bhd. said Friday it has awarded an engineering and construction
contract for the development of two gas fields to a joint venture
of Technip S.A. (TEC.FR) and Malaysia Marine & Heavy
Engineering Holdings Bhd. (5186.KU).
The two gas fields are located in Block SK316, north of Bintulu
in Sarawak state, Petroliam Nasional, also known as Petronas, said
in a statement. There were two other bidders, Berlian McDermott
Sdn. Bhd. and SAIPEM (M) Sdn. Bhd., that had vied for the contract,
Petronas said.
Financial details weren't disclosed.
