LONDON--Speciality chemicals company Croda International PLC (CRDA.LN) said Thursday it has appointed Lloyds Bank's Anita Frew as its new chairman, replacing Martin Flower who will retire in September after 10 years at the helm.

The Yorkshire-based company said Ms. Frew will join the board as non-executive director with immediate effect, and become chairman in September.

Ms. Frew is currently deputy chairman of Lloyds Banking Group PLC (LLOY.LN) as well as chairman of fellow speciality chemicals firm Victrex PLC, a role she has held for six years.
