ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Taiwan's Air Force recently selected Lockheed
Martin's (NYSE: LMT) Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP) for its
F-16 aircraft, becoming the 20th international customer
to choose Sniper ATP to fulfill precision attack requirements.
In the initial contract, Lockheed Martin will provide two Sniper
ATPs and integration support to Taiwan. Lockheed Martin will also provide
integration support of LANTIRN targeting and navigation pods on
Taiwan's recently upgraded
F-16s.

for precision targeting and non-traditional intelligence,
surveillance and reconnaissance efforts, enabling greater overall

Sniper ATP detects, identifies, automatically tracks and laser
designates small tactical targets at long ranges. It also supports
employment of all laser and GPS-guided weapons against multiple
fixed and moving targets. Sniper ATP is interoperable across
multiple platforms, including U.S. Air Force and multinational F-2,
F-15, F-16, F-18, A-10, B-1 and B-52 aircraft.
