L-3 Communications (NYSE:LLL) announced today that it will demonstrate its ROVER 6™ wideband ISR system at the 2016 Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition being held October 3–5 in Washington, D.C. The versatile ROVER communications system, which includes the industry-leading ROVER 6 modem and K(u) Directional Antenna (KUDA), will be integrated with the Oshkosh Defense® Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) at the Oshkosh Defense exhibit.

“L-3’s ROVER system is a proven radio that has provided situational awareness to our servicemen and women in-theater. We are excited to demonstrate this new land vehicle application of the system, which significantly increases communications capabilities,” said Michael T. Strianese, L-3’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “We are proud of the operational advantages ROVER provides and will continue to adapt the technology for emerging international vehicle pursuits.”

The ROVER system delivers high-speed transmit and receive capability of wideband video and data and is designed to interoperate with all U.S. Army UAS platforms as well as U.S. Apache MUM-T and international Apache platforms, increasing combat effectiveness and shortening decision-making timelines.
