GASC bought 60,000 tons of wheat for $259.00 a metric ton from Venus, according to a GASC official. The authority also bought two orders of 60,000 tons of wheat from Bunge Ltd. (BG) for $259.00/ton. The following bids were made on Thursday afternoon: Soufflet : 60,000 tons French wheat at $280.74/ton from two load ports. Bunge: Two shipments 60,000 tons of soft red winter wheat at $259.67/ton and $260.87/ton freight on board U.S. Gulf. Louis Dreyfus and Co.: 60,000 tons soft red winter wheat at $271.82/ton freight on board from St Lawr. And 60,000 tons French wheat at $280.84/ton from two load ports. Toepfer: Two shipments of 60,000 tons soft red winter wheat at $262.84/ton U.S. Gulf and 60,000 tons French wheat at $282.87/ton from two load ports. Granit: 60,000 tons French wheat at $275.90/ton from one load port. Nidera: 60,000 tons French wheat at $282.77/ton from two load ports. Glencore International PLC (0805.HK): 60,000 tons French wheat at $281.90/ton from two load ports. In-Vivo: 60,000 tons French wheat at $284.90/ton from two load ports. Venus: 60,000 tons soft red winter wheat at $259.00/ton freight on board Mississippi River.
