Kraft Foods Inc. (KFT) is recalling a batch of Planters brand cocktail peanuts after some of the snacks were exposed to water not intended for use in food.

The food processor said Friday one group of 12-ounce peanut canisters coded Jan. 9, 2014, was affected. No illnesses have been reported from the peanuts, but Kraft said it was recalling the product out of an abundance of caution.

About 3,000 cases of the recalled product were shipped to retailers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, the company said.
