/CNW/ - In an effort to enhance the investment experience of
clients, Invesco Canada announced changes to the structure of its
Trimark Canadian Equities team. Effective today, the team will be
split into two distinct groups while retaining the highly
collaborative Trimark investment philosophy.
The Canadian Equity team will be led by Alan Mannik and Clayton
Zacharias, both Vice Presidents of Trimark Investments,
while the Canadian Equity Income team will be led by Brian Tidd, Vice President, Trimark
Investments.
Combined, Trimark Investments will include 13 investment
professionals focused on Canadian equities, who also leverage the
knowledge and expertise of the 19-member Trimark Global Equities
and Fixed-Income teams.
As a result of this change, Invesco is pleased to appoint Mr.
Mannik as lead manager of Trimark Canadian Fund/Class and Invesco
Select Canadian Equity Fund, replacing Ian
Hardacre in this role. Mr. Mannik will be supported by Mr.
Zacharias and Mark Uptigrove on
these funds.
Mr. Mannik is currently lead manager for Trimark Select Balanced
Fund and Trimark Canadian Opportunity Fund/Class, and Mr. Zacharias
and Mr. Uptigrove will also join him on these funds.
The Canadian Equity team, consisting of three established
portfolio managers, Mr. Mannik, Mr. Zacharias and Mr. Uptigrove and
a pool of four analysts, will be responsible for:
- Trimark Income Growth Fund
- Trimark Canadian Endeavour Fund
- Trimark Canadian Fund/Class
- Invesco Select Canadian Equity Fund
- Trimark Select Balanced Fund
- Trimark Canadian Opportunity Fund/Class
The Canadian Equity Income team of Mr. Tidd and Eric Mencke will be responsible for:
- Trimark Diversified Yield Class
- Trimark Canadian Plus Dividend Class
Mr. Hardacre, Head of Canadian Equities, will help transition
the portfolios to the new team before leaving Invesco Canada to
pursue other interests. Over the past 18 years, Mr. Hardacre has
been a consistently strong advocate of the Trimark discipline and a
key contributor to the culture of the firm. He has played a
significant role in the development of talent, building a great
team and instilling the values of collaboration and accountability.
