TE Connectivity Ltd. (TEL) said Wednesday it named Heath Mitts as its chief financial officer after Robert Hau resigned from the role earlier this year.

Mr. Mitts appointment is effective September 12.

TE, formerly part of Tyco International (TYC) and headquartered in Switzerland, makes connectivity and sensor products used by telecommunications, automotive, aerospace and energy companies, among others.

Mr. Mitts has resigned from his post as CFO at industrial products maker IDEX Corp., effective September 9. IDEX said Michael Yates would replace him as interim CFO. Prior to joining IDEX, Mr. Mitts held finance positions at PerkinElmer and Honeywell International. Mr. Yates has been at IDEX for 11 years, serving as chief accounting officer since 2010.

In February, TE Connectivity said Mr. Hau, who joined the company in 2012, would step down in March to relocate his family to the midwest.

In its latest quarter, TE Connectivity reported better-than-expected earnings as some expenses declined. IDEX's results in the latest period also topped views.
