Recreational-vehicle maker Thor Industries Inc. (THO) has named
former IDEX Corp. (IEX) executive Dominic Romeo as its chief
financial officer.
Mr. Romeo replaces Colleen Zuhl, who has served on an interim
basis since October, when Christian G. Farman resigned as CFO to
pursue other interests.
The incoming finance chief was most recently CFO of
pump-and-metering-products maker IDEX. Mr. Romeo has also held
financial roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, General Electric Co.
(GE) and Honeywell International Inc. (HON).
"Dom has a proven track record of success in several
high-profile positions with companies in both the private and
public sectors, and he brings the talents, skills and experience
that will enable him to assume a leadership role at Thor, both in
corporate finance and business strategy," said Chief Executive
Peter B. Orthwein.
Mr. Romeo said he was glad to be moving to Indiana, where he has
boyhood roots and where Thor recently said it was moving its
headquarters.
Thor also said that Ms. Zuhl, who was director of finance before
assuming the interim CFO role, has been promoted to the role of
corporate controller.
The company, which manufactures brands including Four Winds,
Airstream and Dutchman, reported in November that its fiscal
first-quarter profit rose 39%, thanks to a double-digit sales gain
in its recreational-vehicle business.
Shares closed at $40.82 on Wednesday and were unchanged after
hours. The stock is up 44% in the past six months.
