Among the companies with shares expected to actively trade in Friday's session are Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD), Google Inc. (GOOGL) and RealPage Inc. (RP).

AMD said its second-quarter loss narrowed on improved revenue and lower costs. Shares dropped 17% premarket on a disappointing forecast for the current quarter and after the chip maker said it expects this quarter to be the company's peak for the game-console business.

Capital One Financial Corp. (COF) reported better-than-expected second-quarter results and posted growth in its domestic credit-card business ahead of the schedule it had laid out for investors. Shares edged up 1.5% to $83.76 premarket.

Google reported revenue jumped 22% in the second quarter, excluding the Motorola Mobility business the search giant plans to sell to China's Lenovo Group Ltd. (LNVGY). Shares rose 4% premarket to $603.99.

Huntington Bancshares Inc.'s (HBAN) second-quarter profit rose 9% as the bank's loan portfolio grew thanks to higher commercial and auto lending. Results beat expectations, pushing shares up 3.8% to $9.65 premarket.

Interpublic Group Of Cos. (IPG) said its second-quarter earnings and revenue rose as the advertising firm saw growth in key markets. Interpublic said acquisitions boosted revenue, which topped views, though there were moderate negative effects from foreign currency translation. Shares edged up 2.3% to $19.47 premarket.

Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) said its fiscal third-quarter earnings slid 68% as restructuring and other charges offset a modest increase in revenue. The results, however, were generally in line with expectations. Shares fell 1.8% premarket to $49.

RealPage slashed its second-quarter guidance amid lower-than-expected revenue related to leasing activity and a significant decline in revenue from its renter's insurance products. Shares dropped 23% to $16.40 premarket.

Skyworks Solutions Inc.'s (SWKS) fiscal third-quarter profit rose 70% as the wireless-chip supplier posted stronger revenue and margins. Shares climbed 9.4% to $50.70 premarket.

Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) formally said it would offer an unlimited reading and audiobook listening service for Kindle and non-Amazon mobile devices. Amazon said it is offering a 30-day free trial for the service, Kindle Unlimited, after which it will run for $9.99 a month.

Bank of New York Mellon Corp. (BK) said its second-quarter profit fell 33%, dragged down by a decline in its fee and other revenue and hefty charges. However, the bank's adjusted per-share earnings beat expectations.

Brunswick Corp. (BC) has agreed to sell its retail bowling business to Bowlmor AMF Corp. (BAMF) for $270 million and said it intends to sell its bowling products business by year's end.

Celanese Corp.'s (CE) second-quarter profit nearly doubled as the technology and specialty materials company reported expanded margins in core segments.

Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. (CLF) said it has reduced by two its slate of directors to be elected at the company's annual meeting, as the iron-ore producer attempts to keep hedge fund Casablanca Capital LP from gaining a majority of the board.

The U.S. Department of Justice is suing energy company Entergy Corp. (ETR) for failing to submit required proof of its affirmative action programs.

General Electric Co. (GE) said it expects to raise $3.1 billion in the sale of a 15% stake in Synchrony Financial as the conglomerate begins marketing the initial public offering of its North American consumer-finance arm. The company also reported a 13% increase in its second-quarter profit.

Office furniture company Herman Miller Inc. (MLHR) has agreed to buy Design Within Reach Inc. (DWRI), a seller of furniture, lighting and accessories that says it aims to "make authentic modern design accessible."

Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ) gave Chief Executive Meg Whitman the added title of chairman, two days after Ralph Whitworth said he was stepping down to focus on his health.

Honeywell International Inc. (HON) said its second-quarter earnings rose 7.6% as most of its segments posted sales growth. The results topped the industrial conglomerate's expectations.

International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) said its second-quarter earnings rose 28% helped by restructuring moves, but the computing and tech giant reported its ninth consecutive quarter of revenue declines.

Kansas City Southern's (KSU) earnings and revenue increased in the second-quarter as it saw strong growth in its grain and automotive shipments. The regional railroad operator said adjusted profit grew from last year's level.

Laboratory Corp. of America Holdings (LH) said its second-quarter earnings fell 7% as the medical testing services provider recorded higher input costs that masked an increase in revenue. The company again raised its earnings forecast for the year as results beat expectations.

Rogers Corp. (ROG) lowered its fiscal second-quarter earnings projections, citing increased expenses and a higher-than-anticipated tax rate.

Schlumberger Ltd.'s (SLB) second-quarter revenue rose, driven by the oil-field services company's higher activity offshore and in key land markets.

Seagate Technology PLC (STX) shares fell in late trading after the data-storage company posted a slight revenue decline for its fiscal fourth quarter.

Stryker Corp.'s (SYK) second-quarter earnings edged up narrowly as an increase in expenses masked a 7% rise in sales. The results include charges for two recalls that had driven down earnings sharply in the previous quarter.

Strong sales of outdoor and action sports apparel continued to boost VF Corp.'s (VFC) bottom line, as the maker of North Face and Wrangler apparel said second-quarter earnings climbed 14%.
