GS Goldman Sachs Group Inc

U.S. cosmetics company Elizabeth Arden Inc. (RDEN) has hired Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) to assist with a potential sale, Reuters reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Representatives for Elizabeth Arden didn't respond to requests from Reuters for comment and Goldman Sachs declined comment.

The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday reported that South Korea's LG Household & Healthcare Ltd. (051900.SE), a cosmetics firm, was considering a bid for Elizabeth Arden. The South Korean company said it would update the market in a month on any progress.
