FARNBOROUGH, England--AerCap Holdings N.V. (AER), the world's largest independent plane lessor, said it would buy 50 more A320 single-aisle jets from Airbus Group NV (AIR.FR) converting options previously signed.

The deal is for the re-engines A320neo family of jets with deliveries with engines from Pratt & Whitney and the rival General Electric Co. (GE)-Safran SA (SAF.FR) joint venture, said Philip Scruggs, President and Chief Commercial Officer at AerCap.

AerCap, the largest buyer of Airbus planes, will take the first of its A320neo jets next year with those from the latest order to come from 2019. The company has now has ordered 200 A320neo planes has options to take more.

Mr. Scruggs said the lessor also will look at buying the A330neo though it is too soon to make a decision now.

The lessor has already placed 48 of its A320neo jets with airlines, it said.
