Safran Says to Partner GE on New Engine for Boeing 777X

PARIS--French aerospace equipment supplier Safran SA (SAF.FR)
said Thursday it will partner with General Electric Co. (GE) on the
new engine for the Boeing Co.'s (BA) 777X long-haul airliner, which
is slated to enter service in about 2020.
Two Safran companies, Snecma and Techspace Aero, will work with
GE on the new engine, Safran said in statement.
Safran will have a stake of about 11% in the program.
