Gannett Broadcasting Names Bob Sullivan Senior Vice President of Programming

Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) has named Bob Sullivan senior vice
president of programming for Gannett Broadcasting. Sullivan comes
to Gannett from Scripps Media, Inc. where he held a similar title.
In this new role, Sullivan will develop a pipeline of non-news
local content on traditional and new platforms across Gannett and
for national syndication. Sullivan will also be responsible for all
group syndication negotiations.
Sullivan is returning to Gannett, where he spent several years
in a number of key leadership roles, including president and
general manager of WUSA in Washington, DC, news director and
station manager at KPNX in Phoenix, AZ, news director at WTLV in
Jacksonville, FL and assistant news director at KUSA in Denver,
CO.

Bob’s unique background in brand development, station management

From 2006 through 2010, Sullivan was president of the Arizona
Super Bowl Host Committee where he oversaw brand development,
marketing, sponsorship, sales, media and public relations,
security, public safety, emergency services, operations, government
relations, community outreach and NFL relations for Super Bowl
XLII. He also produced, wrote and presented three bids to host
future Super Bowls in Arizona. During that time, Sullivan also
owned Sullivan and Associates Consulting, Inc., a full service
brand development, marketing, strategic planning and coaching
consultancy company, and served as president and CEO.
Sullivan holds a BA in Communications Management/Business
Administration from Carroll College in Waukesha, WI. He will begin
on March 23.
