The first Nashville locations to offer the innovative program are First Tennessee's Inglewood and East Nashville branches, located at 3518 Gallatin Pike and 965 Woodland Street. First Tennessee's HOPE Inside locations in Memphis are at the Crosstown branch at 1338 Union Ave. and the Orange Mound branch at 2284 Lamar Ave.

"First Tennessee has been around for close to 152 years, and we're very focused on being a supportive part of the communities we have the opportunity to live in, work in and serve," said Bryan Jordan, chairman and CEO of First Tennessee's parent company, First Horizon National Corp. (NYSE:FHN), at the HOPE Inside opening at the East Nashville branch. "With our longstanding focus on financial literacy, this partnership with Operation HOPE is a perfect fit for us. We've helped hundreds of people with our HOPE Inside efforts so far, and we're committed to building this effort across Tennessee."

The HOPE Inside workshops at First Tennessee offer information about consumer rights, family budgeting, improving credit scores, paying off debt and saving money. One-on-one follow-up counseling sessions are available to workshop attendees. All services are offered to the public free of charge.

"Operation HOPE believes that so-called poor neighborhoods are simply emerging markets. We all come from some place and we all make mistakes, but that doesn't mean we can't be redeemed," Operation HOPE founder, Chairman and CEO John Hope Bryant said during the grand opening activities. "We're going to teach people how to fish and we're going to deliver 'silver rights' across racial, rural and urban lines and we're going to do it from a base of this place called First Tennessee."
