Constellation Announces 2016 E2 Energy to Educate Grant Recipients

Program provides funding for student projects
focused on innovation and enhancing students' understanding of
science and technology
Constellation today announced the recipients of its 2016 E2
Energy to Educate Grants program for student projects focusing on
energy science, technology and education. Constellation awarded
over $380,000 in funding to 17 projects reaching more than 35,000
students, grades 6 through college.
Winning submissions included projects from schools and community
organizations in ten states. Student projects include installing
and studying luminescent solar concentrators, building and racing
electric vehicles, designing wind turbines, scientific testing of
fuel cells, and evaluation of energy storage technologies. For the

Since its inception in 2010, Constellation’s Energy to Educate
grants program has provided over $2.6 million in funding for 85
student projects that have enhanced the understanding of
energy-related science and technology issues. Grant recipients are
announced each year during American Education Week.
