Each Exelon utility – Atlantic City Electric,
BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power, PECO and Pepco salute efforts of
company workers
In celebration of National Lineworker Appreciation Day, PECO
salutes the men and women who work tirelessly, day-in and day-out,
to provide safe and reliable energy services to customers across
the region. PECO celebrates its 1,057 utility workers who operate
and maintain natural gas and electric systems and respond to
emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week, often in challenging
conditions, and on weekends and holidays to keep the lights on and
the natural gas flowing for customers.
“Our field employees are an enduring example of the fabric of
our company, built on a steadfast foundation of safety and
service,” said Mike Innocenzo, senior vice president and chief
operating officer. “We are deeply impressed and thankful for their
tireless service and continued commitment to our customers, no
matter what challenges they may face.”
To honor the nation’s lineworkers, a resolution was introduced
in the U.S. House of Representatives designating July 10, 2016, as
National Lineworker Appreciation Day. PECO joins utility companies
across the nation, including Exelon sister utilities Atlantic City
Electric, BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power and Pepco, in honoring all
utility workers – both on the lines and in the field.
