Multi-year sponsorship deal includes exclusive
naming rights to the suite levels at M&T Bank Stadium
The Baltimore Ravens today announced that they have named
Constellation, a subsidiary of Exelon Corporation and a leading
competitive retail energy supplier, their “Preferred Energy
Choice.” The designation comes as part of a multi-year sponsorship
renewal agreement that gives Constellation exclusive naming rights
of the 300 and 400 suite levels at M&T Bank Stadium, and
includes signage throughout those levels. This is the first time
that the Ravens have welcomed a corporate sponsor at the suite
level of M&T Bank Stadium.
“The Ravens have enjoyed a long relationship with Constellation
that has allowed us to make a positive difference in our community
and environment,” said Kevin Rochlitz, senior vice president of
corporate sales and business development for the Ravens. "We are
pleased to have their support as we continue our efforts to be a
model of sustainability for the NFL and our fans.”
As part of the agreement, Constellation will also serve as the
presenting sponsor of the annual “State of the Ravens” event
featuring General Manager Ozzie Newsome and Head Coach John
Harbaugh.
“The Ravens are known for their tactical, smart approach to the
game. It’s no surprise that they’ve taken the same approach to
managing their energy costs and achieving their sustainability
goals by teaming with Constellation,” said Bruce Stewart, senior
vice president and chief marketing officer for Constellation.
“Constellation is committed to the City of Baltimore, and we are
pleased to power game day for our hometown team.”
The sponsorship renewal agreement expands Constellation’s
already extensive relationship with the team. The company has
supplied power to the Under Armour Performance Center, the team’s
200,000-square-foot headquarters and training facility in Owings
Mills, Md., since 2013, and serves as the “Official Solar Partner
of the Baltimore Ravens,” having recently announced a 375-kilowatt
(DC) solar generation project that will generate approximately 15
percent of the team headquarters’ electricity needs. The Ravens
have also worked with Constellation to match the electricity used
during “Green Games” through the purchase of Green-e Energy*
certified wind renewable energy certificates.
The agreement also includes the renewal of Constellation’s Sacks
for Science program. For each sack recorded during the season,
Constellation sponsors a field trip for one local school group to
experience the Maryland Science Center Power Up! energy exhibit.
Entering its third year, the program has funded visits to the
Maryland Science Center for over 3,000 students from 44 local
schools.
