announces that on September 9, 2016,
as required by the Divestment Regulation (Reglamento de
Enajenación), the Company published the offering notice
regarding the third auction for the second stage of Ecopetrol's
equity divestment plan for its shares in Interconexión Eléctrica
S.A. E.S.P. (ISA) in a newspaper
widely circulated in Colombia.
The third auction is part of the second stage of the equity
divestment plan and the purpose is to offer publicly the shares
that were not acquired during the first and second auctions.
The public offering will be conducted prior to the start of
common stock trading in the Colombian Stock Exchange on
September 14, 2016, in accordance
with the provisions set forth in the Divestment Regulation
(Reglamento de Enajenación) and the applicable addenda.

was approved by the National Government of Colombia through Decree 1800 of September 9, 2015.
