EVERETT, Wash., Dec. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- DaVita HealthCare Partners (NYSE: DVA), a leading independent medical group in America and leading global provider of kidney care, and The Everett Clinic, a nationally recognized physician group, today announced the clinic's stakeholders voted to approve a previously announced merger plan. Under the agreement, DaVita HealthCare Partners will acquire The Everett Clinic. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Pending pre-closing activities, The Everett Clinic's 20 care sites north of Seattle will join DaVita HealthCare Partners' expanding managed care business, along with more than 2,200 teammates caring for more than 315,000 patients.

The transaction is expected to close on or around March 1, subject to execution of a final definitive agreement.
