that John F. Rizzo has joined UHS as
Vice President, Strategy and Business Development.
Mr. Rizzo brings to UHS a strong background and track record of
success in leading growth, acquisition and development efforts both
in the U.S. and Internationally. During the course of his 30
year career, Mr. Rizzo has served in several key strategy, growth
and corporate development roles with three NYSE-listed companies,
as well as co-founding a high growth, leading healthcare physician
services business.
Prior to joining UHS, Mr. Rizzo served as Senior Vice President,
International for DaVita Healthcare Partners, (NYSE: DVA) focused
on strategy and business development activities in the Asia-Pacific region. He led the launch and
operations of DVA outside of the U.S. expanding from no presence
outside the U.S. to operations in Asia and Europe.
In 2012, Mr. Rizzo co-founded U.S. Anesthesia Partners, a single
specialty physician services organization. He served as
President and Chief Development Officer and a member of the Board
of Directors.
John previously served as Senior Vice President, Business
Development of MEDNAX, Inc., one of the nation's leading
providers of physician services. Prior to MEDNAX, Inc., he was VP,
Corporate Development, at AutoNation, Inc., America's largest
automotive retailer.
John began his career in the south Florida practice of Arthur Andersen LLP and
was a Senior Manager in the accounting and audit division for 11
years. He earned a Master's degree in Professional
Accounting and a BBA, with a major in accounting from the
University of Miami.
