Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.

A subsidiary of Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. (the “Company”) has received written notices of termination from PEMEX - Exploración y Producción (“PEMEX”) of the drilling contracts on the Ocean Summit and the Ocean Nugget. The Company had previously disclosed that a representative of PEMEX verbally informed it of PEMEX’s intention to exercise its contractual right to terminate its drilling contracts on the Ocean Ambassador, the Ocean Nugget and the Ocean Summit, and to cancel its drilling contract on the Ocean Lexington. The Company continues to engage in discussions with PEMEX regarding the four drilling rigs. As of the date of this Current Report, the Company has not received notice of termination or cancellation on the Ocean Ambassador or the Ocean Lexington.
