Item 8.01 Other Events.
On February 23, 2017, DineEquity, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Corporation”), issued a press release announcing that the
Board of Directors of the Corporation declared a first quarter cash dividend of $0.97 per share of common stock, payable on April 7, 2017, to the Corporation’s stockholders of record as of March 20, 2017. A copy of the press release
is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
