LONDON--Spectris PLC (SXS.LN), a supplier of instrumentation and
controls, said Tuesday it has appointed Eoghan O'Lionaird and Jo
Hallas as business group directors.
MAIN FACTS:
-O'Lionaird will join Spectris on Feb. 3, with responsibility
for the Materials Analysis and Test & Measurement segments.
-Most recently, O'Lionaird served as president of the Leica
Microsystems division of Danaher Corporation (DHR) in Germany.
-Hallas will join Spectris in the second quarter, with
responsibility for the In-line Instrumentation and Industrial
Controls segments.
-Hallas comes to Spectris from Invensys PLC (SYS.LN), where
currently she holds the position of General Manager Residential
Controls.
-Jim Webster to retire as Business Group Director
-Webster to retire at or before the end of the first half of
2014, with the exact date remaining to be determined.
-Business Group Director Steve Blair will step down from the
Board on Feb. 25.
-Shares at 0832 GMT up 17 pence, or 0.8%, at 2265 pence, valuing
the company at GBP2.68 billion.
