Cablevision Systems Corp. on Thursday named media industry
veteran Gordon McLeod publisher of Newsday Media Group.
Mr. McLeod will take over April 1 for Fred Groser, who said last
year that he planned to retire.

company Krux, will oversee all of the group's outlets, which
include the Long Island, N.Y., daily Newsday, Newsday.com, and

"Gordon's impressive career in the media industry and his deep
understanding of the evolving media business make him uniquely
