CSC (NYSE: CSC), a global leader in next-generation IT services
and solutions, today announced it has been named a “Leader” for the
second year in the IDC MarketScape: Asia/Pacific Managed Security
Services (MSS) 2016 Vendor Assessment (doc# AP40939616, October
2016).
The IDC MarketScape report highlights CSC’s cloud-ready
offerings and the ability to protect virtualized workloads in
private and public environments, along with the use of system-wide
automation for provisioning and early prevention and detection of
threats.
According to the analysis, CSC’s partnerships and acquisitions
provided added value to its cybersecurity mission. The report noted
the creation of CSC’s next-generation, ISecOps platform, a set of
cybersecurity service processes built on top of ServiceNow security
operations, for the integration of IT service management (ITSM)
data and processes into cybersecurity monitoring, event handling
and incident response.
“By adding security operations from ServiceNow, client
organizations can formalize their response process to close the gap
between security and IT,” said Dan Hushon, CTO, vice president
& general manager, Cybersecurity, CSC. “CSC is combining our
ServiceNow consulting capabilities with our market-leading cyber
services to bring clients a new, fully integrated, SecOps operating
model.”
CSC has a team of more than 1,800 security specialists working
in the areas of Consulting Services and Managed Security Services.
These professionals assess security needs, implement new
technologies, and control and manage critical operations enabling
clients to securely adapt to business and risk changes.
IDC collected and analyzed data on 17 organizations in 2016 that
offer MSS in the Asia/Pacific region. The evaluation included more
than 45 in-depth interviews with managed service providers and
their clients to assess service capability across the MSS life
cycle, revenue, price competitiveness, service-level agreements
(SLAs) and security operations center (SOC) staffing.
