International stocks trading in New York were mixed on Wednesday. GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA (GOL, GOLL4.BR) was among the companies with ADRs that traded actively.

The BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts eased 0.02% to 124.26. The European index rose 0.1% to 122.84, the Asian index edged down 0.3% to 131.28, the Latin American index increased 0.02% to 177.36 and the emerging markets index rose 0.08% to 229.36.

 

U.S. authorities are investigating Credit Suisse Group AG's (CS) operations in Israel, The Wall Street Journal reported citing people familiar with the matter. The investigation once again places the Swiss bank under Justice Department scrutiny related to its handling of American clients. Still, Credit Suisse's ADRs rose five cents to $13.12.

 

Brazilian airline GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA (GOL, GOLL4.BR) saw demand decrease last month amid the country's deep economic recession. The number of departures dropped 21.3% in May versus the same month of 2015, and fell 13.4% in the first five months of this year, compared with the year-earlier period. The percentage of seats filled dropped to 74.9% in May from 75.8% a year earlier even as capacity dropped 6.6%. ADRs rose nearly 9% to $8.88.
