Credit Suisse Group AG's head of group finance, Charlotte Jones, is leaving the Swiss bank, according to people familiar with the matter.

A Credit Suisse spokeswoman confirmed the planned departure, which was announced internally Thursday. In a separate statement Thursday afternoon, U.K. asset manager Jupiter Fund Management PLC said Ms. Jones will join Sept. 5 as executive director and chief financial officer.

At Jupiter, Ms. Jones replaces CFO Philip Johnson, whose departure the listed company announced in November.

In her role at Credit Suisse, Ms. Jones has overseen financial and regulatory reporting and investor relations, reporting to the bank's chief financial officer, David Mathers.

The bank said that a succession plan hasn't been announced, and in a statement praised Ms. Jones for her leadership in the bank's financial analysis and strategic overhaul. She'll stay through the lender's second-quarter financial reporting period in July to help with the transition of her replacement.

Ms. Jones joined Credit Suisse in 2013 from Deutsche Bank AG, where she was a senior finance executive in London and Frankfurt.

Credit Suisse is undergoing a broad reorganization unveiled in October by Chief Executive Tidjane Thiam, who took over that role last summer.
