CALGARY, May 5, 2016 /CNW/ - Canadian Pacific (TSX: CP)
(NYSE: CP) today announced it will make a donation of $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross – and match
all employee donations – to support fire relief efforts in and
around Fort McMurray, Alberta.
CP is also releasing additional resources to support
firefighting efforts in the area.
As an Alberta based company, CP
stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Fort
McMurray, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and all
affected residents and customers in Northern Alberta as they deal with this
catastrophic event.
To support the ongoing and necessary efforts, CP is encouraging
its employees to make a donation to the Canadian Red Cross, which
CP will match.
