Dividend

On October 18, 2016, CIT Group Inc. (the “Company” or “CIT”) issued a press release announcing that the Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend in the amount of $0.15 per common share, payable on November 25, 2016 to common shareholders of record on November 11, 2016. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
