Among the companies with shares expected to actively trade in
Tuesday's session are Walgreen Co. (WAG) and Keurig Green Mountain
Inc. (GMCR).
Walgreen Co. reported Monday that strong pharmacy sales and cost
cuts helped drive better-than-expected results in its November
quarter. The upbeat results come just a week before a shareholder
vote on Walgreen's deal to buy the rest of drugstore chain Alliance
Boots GmbH. Shares climbed 3.3% to $74.27 premarket.
Keurig Green Mountain Inc.on Tuesday recalled more than 7
million of its single-serve brewing machines after finding that
water can overheat and spray out at users. Shares fell 3.4% to
$139.78 premarket.
Senior Housing Properties Trust (SNH) said Tuesday that it has
agreed to buy 38 senior-living communities from CNL Lifestyle
Properties Inc.(CLLY). Shares fell 6 cents to $23.06 premarket.
Radian Group Inc.(RDN) has agreed to sell its financial-guaranty
business to Assured Guaranty Ltd. (AGO) for $810 million in cash, a
move that will allow Radian to focus on its mortgage insurance and
real-estate markets. Radian shares climbed 7.5% to $16.28
premarket.

Banco Santander S.A. (SAN) confirmed that it will transfer some
renewable energy and water infrastructure assets to a joint venture
with Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and Public Sector Pension
Investment Board.
Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK) has completed a sale of West
Virginia and Pennsylvania assets to Southwestern Energy Co. for
$4.97 billion.
Continental Resources Inc. (CLR) has joined the list of energy
companies lowering capital budgets for 2015 as U.S. oil prices have
fallen about 50% from their summer peak.
Office-furniture maker Steelcase Inc.'s (SCS) third-quarter
profit was nearly halved as restructuring costs continued to drag
down results.
PG&E Corp.'s (PCG) Pacific Gas & Electric Co. unit said
Monday it has self-reported more emails that may have violated
rules concerning how businesses communicate with the California
Public Utilities Commission.
Vanda Pharmaceuticals Inc. (VNDA) has regained U.S. and Canadian
rights to schizophrenia treatment Fanapt under a settlement with
Novartis AG (NVS) that dismisses a licensing dispute over the
drug.
Veresen Inc. (FCGYF, VSN.T) and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts &
Co. (KKR.XX) have reached an agreement to buy some natural-gas
assets in Canada's Montney region from Encana Corp. (ECA, ECA.T)
and Mitsubishi Corp.'s Cutbank Dawson Gas Resources Ltd. and invest
up to 5 billion Canadian dollars ($4.29 billion) to expand
operations under a 30-year fee-for-service agreement.
