Canon Information and Imaging Solutions, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., announces that it has become a Gold member of the Quest international community of users of Oracle applications, and sponsor of the COLLABORATE 15 event, to be held in Las Vegas, April 12-16. At COLLABORATE 15, CIIS will demonstrate automated procure-to-pay and order-to-cash solutions for an efficient and streamlined workflow process.

Quest includes over 56,000 members from over 9,500 companies, organized into groups around specific industries, such as Financial Services, around product modules, and community hot topics, such as business intelligence or training. As a Quest Gold partner, CIIS becomes an active participant in this community, exchanging ideas and sharing technology, to maximize the value of the existing infrastructures and help solve additional business challenges.

As a COLLABORATE sponsor, CIIS will exhibit its automated solutions for invoice processing (procure-to-pay), sales order processing, and customer billing (order-to-cash), at its booth # 625 in the Exhibitor Showcase. The solutions are based on the Enterprise Imaging Platform (EIP) by Canon - a single middleware platform that captures, creates, processes and automates document workflows while integrating relevant information into various enterprise applications, and thus enables automation of document-intensive business processes. The EIP based solutions have achieved Oracle Validated Integration with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Oracle E-Business Suite. The integration delivers great versatility, particularly in automating the many tasks associated with the entire procure-to-pay and order-to-cash accounting processes.

“CIIS is becoming more involved in the various segments of Oracle applications users. Partnering with Quest and sponsoring events such as COLLABORATE 15 enables us to share Canon’s long experience in automating business workflows, especially those that involve “imaging” and documents, with business users who rely on technology in the day-to-day operations in various organizational functions” said Mr. Satoshi Nagata, president, Canon Information and Imaging Solutions.

COLLABORATE 15 attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in CIIS-led session “Straight-through Invoice Processing for Touchless, PO-Matched Invoice Approval”, on April 13, which will illustrate how procure-to-pay is really made up of several processes, each of which utilizes a vast amount of information from a variety of sources, including ERP systems, documents, and enterprise content management systems. In this session, CIIS will share its experience in document related processes and demonstrate how processes such as procure-to-pay can be automated, to not only bring operational efficiencies, but also provide additional business intelligence and information exchange between various stakeholders across the organization.

In addition, CIIS will present at Oracle JD Edwards session – “JD Edwards Wearables: SmartGlasses and Smartwatches in the Workplace”, on April 14, in which we will highlight the “Smart Warehouse” user experience that leverages Canon Enterprise Imaging Platform integration with Oracle JD Edwards and wearable technology, to automate supply chain operations.
