Supply Chain and Business Systems
CACI International Inc (NYSE MKT: CACI) announced today that it
has been awarded a $60.7 million task order to continue its support
for the modernization of the Naval Tactical Command Support System
(NTCSS) for the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center
Atlantic (SSC Atlantic). The three-year task order under the
Business and Force Support (BFS) Pillar contract vehicle represents
continuing work for CACI’s Business Systems market area.
The NTCSS is the set of systems the Navy uses both ashore and
afloat to handle supply chain and logistics management. Installed
at over 1,000 sites with 250,000 daily users, the system is
essential to the smooth functioning of the Navy’s supply chain.
Under the contract, CACI will continue to provide full life-cycle
development and engineering support for business IT systems that
manage supply, finance, personnel, and administration. As CACI
modernizes the legacy systems, the Navy will be able to take full
advantage of new software, hardware, and technology, while reducing
cyber security vulnerabilities.
CACI Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations
John Mengucci said, “We have a long history of supporting the Space
and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic through a wide range of
solutions, and this contract win cements our leading position in
helping modernize Department of Defense supply chain management
systems.
Ken Asbury, CACI’s President and Chief Executive Officer, said,
“This is a significant recompete win for CACI. It enhances our
position as a leader within business system modernization. This
award positions our company to continue to help the Department of
Defense more effectively manage the business and logistics systems
that keep our fleet supplied, equipped, and mission-ready.”
