CACI International Inc (NYSE MKT: CACI) announced today that Dr. J.P. (Jack) London, Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board, gave a keynote speech on July 29 at the National Contract Management Association’s (NCMA) World Congress 2015 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. Speaking to more than 1,000 attendees, Dr. London delivered a compelling address on the critical importance of ethics in government contracting.

Held July 26-29, the World Congress is the NCMA’s largest training event of the year. Government and industry professionals participated in panel discussions, keynote addresses, and more than 100 breakout sessions geared to educating attendees about the future of contract management. CACI also showcased its procurement and contract management solutions and services at the event.

In a speech entitled “The Character Difference,” Dr. London shared case studies and observations, culled from over 40 years of both military and industry experience, on how acting ethically and with good character is critical for creating public trust in the contract management process. According to Dr. London, “Trust, confidence, and integrity are what drive successful contract management … and they are driven by character. It’s the behavior we want to set as an example and to emulate. This is a powerful difference!” He added that while change is constant, “so is the importance of good character. As contract management evolves, your good character and integrity will guide you through the changes you face every day.”

According to NCMA Executive Director Michael Fischetti, “I really was moved by the way Dr. London integrated this year’s NCMA World Congress theme of innovation, our new Code of Ethics, and the importance of leadership, integrity, and leading by example. It was a great reflection of the week’s activities. He took a different approach for this subject, being able to motivate and emotionally touch his audience.”

A proponent of ethical behavior in today’s government, military, and corporate environments, Dr. London is regularly invited to speak in public venues and mediums about character and ethics. He was awarded recognition as one of the Most Influential People in Business Ethics by the Ethisphere Institute in 2014. In Dr. London’s book, Character: The Ultimate Success Factor, he illustrates how good character is the foundation for performance excellence.

“I am honored to have given a keynote address at the NCMA World Congress 2015,” Dr. London said. “These contract management professionals serve as pillars to their organization’s enduring success. As such, they should be lauded for their personal commitment to upholding the highest standards of performance excellence and good character, standards which ensure the accomplishment of their organization’s critical missions.”

According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury, “Dr. London’s ability to captivate an audience is never more powerful than when he is speaking of the importance of character. We are proud of his effect on CACI’s culture of ethics and integrity that has driven the company’s success as an innovative provider of information solutions for the nation’s most critical missions.”
