BUENAVENTURA ANNOUNCES CONTRACTOR WORKER’S
STOPPAGE AT UCHUCCHACUA MINE
Lima, Peru, May 11, 2015 - Compañía
de Minas Buenaventura S.A.A. (“Buenaventura”) (NYSE: BVN; Lima Stock Exchange: BUE.LM), Peru’s largest publicly
traded, precious metals mining company announced today that the Uchucchacua’s contractor workers began a work stoppage.
The Peruvian Ministry of Labor declared
the work stoppage as illegal on May 8, 2015.
The Company will update accordingly as
any developments occur.
